Andrew 'BurntSushi' Gallant
Member of the Rust project's libs-api and regex teams
Andrew has been a member of the Rust project on the libs-api team since 2015. He has also worked on building and maintaining core ecosystem crates such as regex, jiff, memchr, bstr, csv, ignore, walkdir and more. He wrote ripgrep, which searches code repositories very quickly and powers the search functionality of many code editors, such as VS Code. Finally, Andrew is currently working on improving Python developer tooling at Astral.
Andrew lives in Massachusetts with his Wife, Kaitlyn, and son, Murphy. He likes running, reading, cigars and coding.
